5 Simple Rules for Happiness 1. Free your heart from hatred 2. Free your mind from worries 3. Live simply 4. Give more 5. Expect less

Welcome to my world

Life is a constant pursuit, this is my journey.

William Wordsworth's Ode: Intimations of Immortality

"...Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass,

of glory in the flower; we will grieve not, rather find

strength in what remains behind;

In the primal sympathy which having been must ever be;

In the soothing thoughts that spring out of human suffering;

... In the faith that looks through death...

Thanks to the human heart by which we live

Thanks to its tenderness, its joys, and fears

To me the meanest flower that blows, can give thoughts that do often lie too deep for tears."

Life, In the Pursuit of Happiness

I am still plugging away at my writing. I have been diligently working on my other blogs in marketing, beauty, and my new website. I do have one other website that is private and strictly a collection of all of my writings. So far I have 6 chapters in one sections of the site called “Life, In the Pursuit of Happiness. It’s an online book I’m writing, full of life lessons I have learned along the way. Who knows when I will finish it but I wanted to a put a teaser on my blog. I hope you like it….

Life Lesson #1: It’s the Journey
It's the journey, not the destination, life is in the details. One of the most important pieces of advice my father has ever given me is to enjoy the ride and not focus on the destination. He would compare life's journey to a train ride. Always encouraging me to enjoy the view, and not think about the stop ahead. I was always so anxious for the next stop. If  only I had this, if only I could do that...then I would be happy. I can still hear my dad's voice in my head "..don't rush it..." Happiness lies in the details of life. It is temporary, not permanent.
